Bringing Hope to Families with Pediatric Cancer
OUR STORY... is one of love, friendship and hope. In July of 2004, twelve-year-old Liam Hoover was diagnosed with cancer. Tragically Liam's battle with cancer came to a tearful end. One life was taken and hundreds of his friends and families lives were changed...forever. From one life lost, The Hoover Run for Hope was born. Friends and community linked arms around the Hoover family and raised over $28,000 for St. Jude Children's Hospital that inaugural year. Five years later, The Hoover Hope Foundation was established as a way to remember Liam's courageous spirit and bring hope to families who walk the journey of pediatric cancer.
Donations to the Foundation helps families with the financial burdens of treatment, supports pediatric cancer research, promotes awareness, and funds local treatment facilities in Tennessee.
